Bucket Sedona

My final Arizona adventure is in Sedona, known for it's red rock formations and a feeling of spiritual connectiveness.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedona,_Arizona

What a great location to watch hikers on the trails.

While getting a closer look at the red rocks, I saw a coyote smiling back at me!

Mr. Cowboy, the sun is bright here, do you have any hats a tad smaller?
Sedona is famous for their Pink Jeep Tours. I taking a jeep tour as it will save my tired paws!

Climbing on Sedona's red rocks is popular. Where is my safety rope?

I followed H2O because he knows where all the best watering holes are.

When I sat on this giant crystal, I felt magic! Or was it just a sharp edge?
I'm curious--why is this McDonald's arch a turquoise color?

This is proof I saw it, but I still don't know why it's turquoise.
Time for me to find out! Mr Google where is the answer?

http://en.rocketnews24.com/2013/06/08/the-only-mcdonalds-in-the-world-where-the-golden-arches-arent-golden/

I went inside to warm up and have some coffee--at least the coffee wasn't turquoise!

Grand Canyon

On the way to the Grand Canyon, "I got my kicks on Route 66" through Flagstaff, Arizona.

It's official. I'm at the Grand Canyon.www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/index.htm
This guy greets meets millions people and I got a special welcome from the park ranger.
Smokey the Bear offered to be my guide. WooHoo!

Eddie where is the canyon? You said I'd see the Grand Canyon!

Eddie told me to turn around and wow! What a view! What a big canyon. He told me it was over a mile - straight down!

We stopped at the visitor's center so I could planning a hike. I have my map and I'm ready for a long hike."

First, I need food for energy! Wonder what the Chef has on the menu?

I'm learning about the people who once lived in the canyon. The park has found many artifacts over the years!

I was really tired and almost asked a friendly lizard for a ride.

Bears get to travel and so do gnomes. I met a couple from England who had this fellow in their backpack. We shared stories of our adventures as we travel around the world. Who knows our paths may cross again!

The next time I come to Grand Canyon I'm taking the mule trip. Hiking is hard, especially when you have short legs!

More excitment in Arizona

There are a lot of things to see in the town of Jerome. Once it was an active copper mining town, turned Ghost town and now a mecca for art. http://www.sedonaverdevalley.org/jerome/aboutjerome.html
First Humphrey took me to visit the Liberty Theatre. i met a lot of movie stars; but they would not talk to me! I put 25 cents in this movie machine just to see Betty Boop dance! Wow!!!

I wonder what happens if I plug this in?
Bring on Scarface and his gang!

Elvis was singing "Are you lonesome tonight?" and I say "no" as I'm so busy on my adventure; then I say "Yes," as I miss my Mum and Dad!
Walking around and seeing all the sights in Jerome, we worked up an appetite. Humphrey took me The Haunted Hamburger Restaurant for lunch. " Is that a ghost or is that Humphrey pretending?"

Should I hide under the bowl or make friends?
The skull painting behind Bucket was painted by a famous Arizona artist names Autumn Zahn. I'm being brave; I'm not scared!
I hope Maynard doesn't think I'm a treat!

Humphrey, I have no seat belt up here!

In the restaurant I got a free ride from a Raven

I met Bones! I think he needs to eat more of the famous hamburgers.
In Jerome, even the pumpkins turn into ghosts! Am I having a flashback to Halloween?

I've seen so many ghosts, I can give my own tours of Jerome!
If I see one more ghost I am hiding in this tshirt

I knew it, another ghost. I'm outta here!

Arriving in Arizona

I've arrived in Arizona and was met by my old friend Humphrey. I took a deep breath after being in the traveling box, then I hear him say "Let the party begin!" I'll go for that!
Our first stop is going to be an art festival in old town Cottonwood.
Today Pat dressed me in a Steampunk outfit, perfect outfit for an art festival. I'm getting a good tour of Cottonwood. Hum, there is a connection here; Mum store is called Cottonwool, and I'm in Cottonwood! Whilst here I'll help wave the USA flag for freedom!
I met Charlie, the clock maker. Charlie tried to wind me up. Yes, I have gears, but I'm not a clock!

I met Gerry, a Hopi kachina carver. I like what he carved, just my size! Gerry is from the Hopi Indian tribe. He has the biggest smile! Take a look at his art work www.kachinacarver.com.
I chatted with the local Independent newspaper reporter and photographer, I think we have a lot in common; both after the best adventure. "Smile," he said, "You could be in the newspaper. It is not every day we meet an Aussie!"

I'm going to learn a Native American dance with this lovely kachina all night long!

Goodbye for now

With the cold weather in Kentucky (no this is not Celsius, it's below freezing) I am heading to warmer climate! Arizona here I come!
Before I leave I must take care of my feathered friends, as they need food for the cold winter too.
Ah, a little warm sun. Come here little birdies, the treats are good!
I had a long talk with Rachel Ann, as she will be staying in Kentucky and keeping the family company and entertained

Oh this is perfect....and I know they will miss me.

Even Kody-Cat is wondering what is going on as I chat with my old girlfriend Celeste and her new guy Max

Celeste and Max have become my good friends. I sure miss her being 'my gal' but Max has the money to afford her 'wants'.

Just one last big kiss! "Wishing you a wonderful time in Arizona" Celeste said

Now, now, no tears Bucket. It is time to get in the box and continue on with your next adventure!
