The replica (dollhouse) of Locust grove contains the exact same articles as once found in the house. Bucket takes a closer look at the rug which was commissioned and made by Dodie Claypool, Valerie's mother
The big replica dollhouse is on display at the Locust Grove museum. You can peek in the back and see what life was like in the 1800's in Louisville, Kentucky

Do I resemble either of these famous explorers?

George Rogers Clark's office. Wish I could have met them and listened to their adventures. But, I'll find that trail and start my own adventure soon. I'm excited to be in a real log cabin too!

So this is where the expedition began, charting out the trails and gathering supplies.

Old York, as he was called, was a slave in the Clark family who helped explore the west with Lewis and Clark. Yes in the old days I found out, that large plantations like the Locust Grove, had slaves who worked the land and kept the house running smoothly. In later years all slaves were freed.

Sharping my wit? Or just hoping for a good spin with some sparks?

Riding the love bird - No Bucket that is not a swan!

bucket showing how he feels! Coming between Celeste and Maxwell. He knows that 3 is a crowd!

"Not to worry Bucket, I will keep an eye on those two when you are on an adventure! I'll report to you my findings! Humphrey - Cub reporter for Bears&Buds

I am feeling a little HOT, hum, wonder if that is how I'm feeling about Celeste? —

I can not decide what color she'd like best?

One of these to fluff her mohair and to light up our lives?

Too many sweet bottles, I'm getting dizzy.

This is the one! This is me; lovestruck for sure!

Zipping along the highway
The expressway was fast and the mountains started to be visible

We are here! The Big Tourist Town of the Smoky Mountains!

How fast are we going through the woods? I'm getting dizzy!
The winding roads of the mountains and the shade of the trees, cooled the car and we enjoyed watching for wildlife.

Look, it really is the smoky mountains

Surveying the mountains from atop another
The beautiful Smokey Mountains - the clouds settle down in the valleys and it makes the mountains look very smoky

The sign is right - so many things to discover here in the Great Smoky Mountains

Rock climbing is fun when you reach to top!

I'll sit on the moss. OH I hope that is not poison ivy behind me! (PS. not to worry Bucket, it is not)

To the creek
Babbling creeks always let us relax and take in the sounds and rest awhile

I am at peace here; although I would have preferred a softer bench!

I should have brought my fishing pole, I think I spotted a fish!

they won't find me sitting here, taking a break from the warm summer day

They just would not let me sit very long and rest! Too many adventures!
Now I love the view from the shade!

I did not see any Cherokee Indians, but found a picture of a mother and child

I'll perch here for a minute before going on a trail. I'm not hiking all the way to Maine!

Wait for me Kinsey!

I'm tired of hiking! A little nap in the tall cool grass, perhaps?

Aw Shucks - they wouldn't let me try this corn cob pipe and said 'bacc
I'll sit and wait for the fairies to come and play with me. By the looks of things here, I believe they are close by

Driving the expressway has its advantages, but I think I'll ride the turtle and see the sights. His speed is just my style

Wait - Kiss a frog to find my Princess? I am not so sure about this!

Bucket Discovers the real home of Kentucky Fried Chicken

This is what I call sitting in the Rumble Seat - Sometimes they call this car the 'shooting star'...guess the driver has a heavy foot!

I"m learning to eat 'finger-licking-good' chicken. Corbin Kentucky is where Col. Sanders first started frying chicken —

                                                          The Colonel knows chicken!

Wow, the original kitchen. 31 secret spices and herbs, and I wonder if I can find them here somewhere?

This was the way his motel and restaurant looked in the 1930's
Things sure have changed. The little red and white containers are still popular today.

A walk down memory lane

I can take Celeste here for dinner; love these prices too! —
